Chris says,”I first became intrigued with Venice by witnessing the experiences of some photographer friends as they roamed the streets and canals during Carnivale. I was inspired by the photographs of Jim McKinniss and Jan Isachsen. I decided to join them and experience the city too, aiming my camera at the Carnivale festivities and people, as well as the colors and details around the city. The highlight of my trip was finally meeting a good friend, Antonio Lowison, who we shared a day with and then returned the following year to photograph his city with him.”
