Puzzled by Diane Peterson

This idea started out simply. Diane took several shots of the same image with an analog camera having very few, if any, bells & whistles.

She wanted to see how the same image changed just shooting from different angles.

Diane rarely, if ever, has her work processed & printed by someone other than herself, but this time, she wanted to “play” with the actual touch and feel pictures.

Looking at the prints, Diane decided to cut them apart and piece them back together from different angles.

Interestingly, when you first glance at each image, you don’t notice how the sidewalks don’t match up: skylines are off kilter, things seem a little “jumbled”.

Once the images are “put together” Diane then re-shoot them with a digital camera.

Old School by Catharine Amato

Some people have referred to my photography as “Old School”, perhaps just because I am, in fact, old – at least compared to the many photographers I’m in contact with.

Now these images really ARE “Old School” as I shot them when I was at school, aged 16 to 17! I had a Brownie Box and was having fun. Now I see many younger photogs are searching out these old cameras and having fun with them, too, so maybe I’m not so “Old School” after all!

These images are from 1963 and 1964.

After the Rain, San Francisco, 1982 by Alexis Gerard

Aamora welcomes back Alexis!

Alexis shares with friends of aamora: “I’m currently feeling at a bit of a creative dead-end, so rather than continuing to show new images, I thought I’d start on a project I’ve been mulling for months” . . .

“. . . Digitizing and organizing 20 years of film work – color and b/w negatives in 35mm., 2 1/4 and APS formats, 35 mm. and 2 1/4 slides, and Polaroids…daunting!”

“But, in addition to the value of the project in itself, I’m hoping that viewing older work kick-starts a new way of looking or revisiting.”

“These are images I haven’t seen since they were shot, nearly 30 years ago. I hope you enjoy the time travel as I have.”

Dinner In Town by Diane Peterson ::: Aamora Triptych Solo

Dinner In Town

by Diane Peterson

Three different images. Three different cameras.

All photographs were originally taken with three entirely different film cameras. The prints were scanned, then opened into Photoshop.

Once in Photoshop, Diane decides on the size to best show off her favorite parts of each image; with some minor cropping to fit the three photos together, Diane’s triptych is complete.

A great example of using her random images and finding something in common with one another to make Dinner In Town.

The Secret Dune by Danielle Kelly: Aamora Project Secret

The Secret Dune by Danielle Kelly

D Kelly secret-2

the beach was full of people
screaming babies,
teenagers throwing footballs over my blanket,
i couldn’t seem to get away.
i decided to walk down a sandy path
about a mile from the busy beach,
i looked to my right and there it was
a beautiful opening, an empty spot.
i was thrilled.
but of course not before this amazing fog rolled in.
lucky i had my diana in tow!
