Cairenn Russelo, who initiated this project and collaborated with other aamora members John Linton, Rhio9 and Maura Wolfson-Foster, tells us:
“The object of this project was to intuitively exchange an image (of any subject matter) with another photographer, not knowing what image was to be shared with me. The result… juxtaposed subjects sharing a very similar vision.
I choose these photographers – John, Maura and Rhio, feeling I knew their work and their (sometimes) quirky visions – anticipating an intuitive connection in subject matter. I met all three photographers on JPGmag.com.”

i’ve been experimenting with fragmentations since reading about jasper johns and john cage yesterday. i had this idea to do a photo made from 2 separate photos of the same scene only slightly different perspectives. i used different size photos and cut out small squares from each of the images separately and combined them together to make one complete image. i like the idea and so i’m working on it a little. this is one of those photos. i have them up on my blogsite if you care to see. if you find this idea intriguing, maybe you’d like to give it a try. i’d love to see what you come up with.

Congratulations Rhio and Niki!
“My story: Once upon a time I read a book. The end. The book was “Bird” (about Charlie Parker) & I was 12 years old. For the next 50 years I became a jazz musician. I first used a polaroid camera in 2003, next was Nikon film in 2004, I added a low-tech camera phone in 2005 and high-tech digitals in 2007. And now, here I am.”
