Why photography?

Life is a series of snapshots…Who do you want taking them?

Cellphones

I love taking photos of people taking cellfies with their cellphone cameras, especially when they put them on those sticks and hit other people while they take their cellfie. I guess having a cellphone camera is better than having no camera at all.

Digital v. Film – still a topic?

They still make film? Go figure…

Is the equipment important?

I don’t believe you can take a photograph without some sort of equipment…It really comes down to what kind of equipment do you need…some are happy with a home made pin hole while others wouldn’t think of taking a photo with anything less than a Hassleblad… I’m not either one of those…

How did you learn to photograph?

Trial and error…I’m hoping for an acquittal.

Are photographs “taken” or “made”?

If we are writing about the photographer they are “taken” and if we are writing about the camera they are “made”…

Is photography art?

Well, according to Plato art lies in the eyes of the beholder…or is it beauty…no matter…most people need their glasses to figure this one out…

Where do you go to look at photographs?

On my computer screen…it’s too much time to look them up in books…or libraries…or art galleries…or museums…of course if someone were to create a bar that was also a photography gallery I might rethink the whole it takes too much time thing…

Who is it for – you or them?

You mean my photography…right? Well, some are of me, all are by me, and all are for everybody (and that includes me)…
